Starting points for work are frequently drawn from people, places and learning new skills or attempting to understand a new perspective, by becoming overwhelmed by a project (artistic or otherwise) and getting overtly involved. The notion of working as the lone practitioner formulates distinct dissatisfaction and currently I am without a collective or group in which to become immersed, with this my practice has lost drive and enthusiasm. I crave the inspiration I derive from interactions with others, however I presently feel unable to formulate a project in which my practice can develop.
